A biker was seriously injured yesterday afternoon following a collision in Gozo, the police said.

The accident took place in Mgarr Road, Ghajnsielem, at 5.45pm.

The biker, a 36-year-old Italian who resides in Xewkija, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car involved in the impact, a 67-year-old woman of Ghajnsielem, was unhurt.
