Befoe the start, competitors and all had a big surprise when HE the President of Malta, Marie Louise Coleiro made a visit to meet all the teams.   Then photos with all the teams followed,  and after  declaring the tournament 'officialy opened'.  Players, officials and committee members   were impressed with her  friendlyness.  At the end, teams, players and commitee members contributed and collected in all the total sum of 500euros which will be presentd to the Community Chest Fund.

Five teams took part, amongst them the English team BRAYWOOD BEAVEERS who has the official in charge, Allan Donaldson, a Maatese mother and an English father.  It was very unfortunate that the team of foreigners playing in the Masters League in Malta did not continue after winning the first game. From a squad of eight, got injured including Drasko Baunovic (guest player) who has travelled to Malta from Montenegro. Another star player injured was Brnaco Nisevic,

MALTA MASTERS with National coach Charles Agiuss again impressed and recieved a lot of praise. They were excellent and the real masters winning their three games.  The team from Gozo also left a good impression.  Malta had also Massimo Schembri finishing as top scorer and Carlo Mamo chosen as best player.
