Following her record-making debut as the first Maltese player at Rolland Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open, Francesca Curmi will be participating in the Australian Open, the fourth of the world's top tennis tournaments.
She qualified for these Grand Slam tournaments by virtue of her world ranking.
In 2018, Francesca beat eight of the top-50 world junior players, and is regarded as one of the top juniors herself.
The International Tennis Federation considers her to have great potential, thanks not only to her talent and professional team but also because of her capacity for hard work.
Francesca trains six hours a day, six days a week.
Following the Australian Open, later this year Francesca will be participating in various other high-ranked tennis tournaments in Italy, France, the UK and the USA.
Francesca's coaches are Matthew Asciak, Francesco Palpacelli and Marco Salerno.
