Senglea registered  their second win on the trot when they convincingly defeated Mosta by a 3-0 scoreline. This was another important win for Senglea who have now won two direct clashes against teams involved in the relegation battle.

Mosta were practically no match for their opponents with Senglea dominating the match and scoring at regular intervals. Another positive for Senglea was that for the second consecutive week they had a clean sheet.

Mosta were coming from three consecutive positive results whereas Senglea beat Qormi by a 4-0 scoreline in their last match  and left for the first time this season the bottom place of the standings.

Mosta coach Mark Miller made three changes from their last match with Dexter Xuereb, N'Guessan and Roach given a starting berth instead of Miranda Gomez, Zachary Brincat abd Romau. On the other hand one change for Senglea from that famous win with Miyamoto making way for Gonzalo Julian Leyton.

In the first round Mosta emerged winners by two goals to nil but now it was time for revenge and Senglea did it in style.

Senglea were more aggressive in the initial stages of the match and as early as the 3rd minute they went near when off a Grech cross from the right side Silva Santos fired a shot which was saved on the line by Vella.

A minute later and Senglea took the lead.  Gonzalo Julian Leyton set on Augusto Caseres whose acute shot from inside the box found the corner of the net.

Mosta were shell shocked after this early setback and thus failed to mount a reaction .  In fact it was Senglea once again who went near in the 16th minute through a Venancio free kick which was saved by Vella aided by the upright.

Midway through the first half Mosta ventured forward for the first time but Roach final shot hit the side rigging.

In first time added time Gonzalo Leyton Julian blasted high when well placed.

Senglea started the second half where they left the first and only few seconds had elapsed when they went near to increasing their lead. Augusto Caseres had his low drive from the byeline cleared off the fatal line by Bonnici.

But in the 52nd minute Senglea doubled their lead. Leighton Grech supplied the cross from the right flank with Romulo Silva Santos rising high at the far post and heading past  Vella.

On the hour Mosta threatened with shots from N'Guessan and Brincat blocked by the Senglea rearguard. And on the other end a  Venancio free kick was saved by Vella.

Senglea sealed the issue in the 65th minute when they scored their third goal. Venancio sent a low cross in the area with Matias Garcia sliding the ball home.

Till the end Senglea controlled well and emerged worthy winners. A win and three points which now put them on a par with Pieta and six points above basement side Qormi.
