A 75-year-old man was hit by a car at 11.30pm today, on Triq il-Kbira San Guzepp, Hamrun.

The police, in a statement, said that the car was being driven by a 31-year-old man from Paola.

The 75-year-old man from St Julian's was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, and was certified as having suffered grievous injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
