Malta Police Force traffic section gets 15 new motorcycles

The Malta Police Force inaugurated 15 new motorcycles bought with an investment of more than €210,000 to further modernize its traffic section.

Speaking at the event, Minister for Home Affairs and National Security Michael Farrugia said that more investment is being put into the traffic section, noting the introduction of life-saving vests, crash helmets and body cameras.

In the coming weeks, a number of new vehicles and Segways will also be added.

Farrugia also pointed out the work being done to modernize various police stations in Malta and Gozo, investment into the fight against organised crime, and that crime has gone down in spite of the increase in human traffic on the island.
