Blue is here: Enemed launch new ePower Diesel with 60+ cetane level!

Friday, 1 February 2019, 12:34 Last update: about 6 years ago

On Friday February 1st 2019, Enemed launched a brand new high performance diesel with a cetane level of 60+.  The superior quality EN590 diesel fuel is available as from today in a number of franchised fuel stations across Malta and Gozo.

The new ePower diesel contains a higher cetane value which reduces the ignition delay. This is the time period between the injection of the fuel and the combustion in the cylinder. High cetane fuels also give better ignition quality by reducing the rate of pressure rise and peak pressure in the cylinder. Both new and old engines can benefit from higher cetane levels. The higher the cetane number, the faster the fuel will ignite and the more completely it will burn. These attributes are important because as the fuel burns faster and more completely, the engine experiences easier cold starts, greater performance, smoother and quieter running and produces fewer harmful emissions.

Enemed are proud to annouce the brand new diesel fuel which is suitable for all diesel engines. Thanks to the efficiency of its detergent and the low carbon build-up, the ePower diesel removes existing deposits and keeps the fuel injector nozzles clean. This reduces fuel consumption and thus improves engine durability, performance, vehicle drive ability and maintenance costs. Enemed ePower diesel fuel provides an increase in power and torque compared to the standard grade of diesel fuel.

In addition, Enemed launched the 'Spot the Sticker Competition'. ePower Diesel stickers are available at Enemed's Franchised stations and anyone who affixes the sticker to their rear windscreen will be in the chance of winning a fuel voucher. Enemed will announce a winner every day on their Facebook page from the 18th of February until the end of March.

Enemed is an ISO certified company responsible for the importation, distribution and wholesale of petroleum products for the inland market including the aviation sector. The company also offers its storage facilities to third parties. Enemed operates in the Maltese market.
