We’re living unusual times created by bad governance – PD leader

Sunday, 3 February 2019, 15:02 Last update: about 6 years ago

We are at present living in unusual times, created by bad governance, the hungry claws of unscrupulous business, and an economy run on steroids jeopardized by unsustainable development, Partit Demokratiku leader Godfrey Farrugia said.

It is time that we determine what is best of our country. PD is determined to fix the broken system, he said.

A changing society, one that is metamorphosing into a multicultural society, does not infer that our values and our identity have to change.

Our customs and our social behaviours determine who we are. “We are identified by our authenticity and how well we nurture this identity,” continued Farrugia.

“Partit Demokratiku is proud of our country, our history, our culture, our people. As a member of the European Union, Malta shares the founding principles of liberty, democracy, human rights, civil liberties, and rule of law,” he said.
