Long queues are being reported at Cirkewwa as Gozo Channel is operating with just two of its three vessels, as the MV Malita is undergoing repairs.

The nightmare started yesterday afternoon, which is the time chosen by many to make their way to Gozo for the weekend. But it continued this morning and afternoon too, with some commuters turning back home.

Webcams in the area are offline at the time of writing.

The situation in Mgarr is much better, with no queues reported at this time. But matters will be reversed tomorrow afternoon as the many Maltese who go to Gozo at the weekend make their return home.
