Futsal: Valletta and Luxol set for the major clash

Two days after their clash in the BOV Premier Football League, Valletta increased their winning record by winning 5-1 against Birkirkara. Both supporters created a good vibe during this match at the Corradino Sport Pavillion.

International youngster Andrè Ciancio had his debut with Valletta who acquired him from Swieqi United in January. Ciancio was well accepted in the team and some minor improvements are enough to excel in coach Xavier Saliba's tactic plans.

The Lillywhites found the net through a hat-trick byCamilo Andre Vanegas Gomez and a goal apiece for Jovica Milijic and Gia Nikvashvilli. While Glenn Bonello scored the Stripes' sole goal.

Luxol St. Andrews had also another win in the Elite Round, beating Swieqi United with the end result of 8-3. Luxol had braces by Celino Alves and Giancarlo Sammut together with a goal apiece for Matthew Attard, Maicon Silva, Zvezdan Vukovic and captain Mark Zammit a day before his birthday.

Swieqi United's goal came from Shawn Deguara whom they acquired from Valletta, Leonardo De Souza and Leo Muscat.

Tarxien Rainbows also acquired three points in the Elite Round after winning 7-4 against the University of Malta Students Futsal Team.

In the First Division, Luxol U19 moved three points ahead of UM Futsal Academy after beating them 7-1. Pietà Hotspurs consolidated their leadership in the First Division when they beated Swieqi United U21 with the end result of 7-2.
