Three people were arrested for possession of cocaine on Saturday night, the police said.

In a statement, the police said a 43-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman from Zejtun were arrested at a Zejtun establishment, while a 21-year-old man from Zabbar was arrested in Zabbar.

The 43-year-old was found to be carrying sachets of suspected cocaine in quantities denoting that it was not for personal use.

The arrests were carried out by members of the Drug Squad.

The three individuals are expected to be arraigned in the coming days.
