A collision in Zejtun yesterday afternoon led to the hospitalization of a 40-year-old woman who was driving a Peugeot Tweet motorcycle.

The crash took place in Triq id-Dejma in Zejtun at around 5.15pm between a Nissan March, driven by a 30-year-old female Zejtun resident, and the aforementioned Peugeot Tweet which was driven by the 40-year-old Italian woman from Msida.

The injured party was transported to Mater Dei hospital for care and has been certified as having grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
