A young man from Albania was seriously injured after he lost control of the car he was driving in Gnejna on Tuesday morning.

The car plunged into a valley and the man, aged 24 and resident in Zabbar, was pulled out by members of the Civil Protection Department.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.
