A teenager was seriously injured on Saturday evening when she was hit by a car in Gzira, the police said.

The accident happened at the Ferries at 10.10pm.

The 14-year-old girl, resident of Swieqi, was hit by a Citroen driven by a 29-year-old man of Pembroke.

She was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
