Bank of Valletta, US President Donald Trump and traffic were among the targets of satire in this year's popular Nadur Carnival.
The costumes featured people dressed as traffic cones, others as clowns, and one person as Donald Trump, mocking his 'wall'.
The Nadur Carnival is one of the major events in Gozo of the year, being far more grotesque, adult and tongue-in-cheek than the Maltese counterpart. While the Maltese carnival is categorised by bright colours and a family-friendly environment, the Nadur Carnival is spontaneous, where scary masks and political satire thrive.
It has become a yearly event where many Maltese travel to the sister island.
