In the Elite Round Luxol St. Andrews gained a double win against Birkirkara and Swieqi United.
In their first match Luxol had a tough resistance from Birkirkara but managed to acquire the three points with a tight 4-3 score. Definitely it was a balanced encounter and Birkirkara came out heads up as they had the best performance so far.
In the other match, Luxol had a stunning win of 10-1 against Swieqi United. Luxol had braces from Shataizan Zarb, George Frendo, Maicon Silva Gaiewski and Mark Zammit, together with a goal apiece for Leanderson Coriolando Sant'Anna and Andy Mangion. Swieqi United's sole goal was scored by Maximilano Navarro.
Despite the heavy defeat against Luxol, Swieqi obtained a decisive win of 3-1 against Tarxien Rainbows.
Finally on Friday night we had two Elite matches at the Corradino Sport Pavillion and one match from the First Division.
The University of Malta Students won 6-5 against Tarxien Rainbows, while Valletta won 5-2 against Birkirkara.
From the First Division we had a very balanced and entertaining 5-5 between Pietà Hotspurs and Luxol U19. The Luxol's youngsters managed to equalise the end result in the last fifteen seconds.
