Malta’s entry for the Eurovision song contest, launched last Sunday, has already been seen by nearly 500,000 viewers on Youtube, but apart from a debate on whether the song can at least put Malta in the final, keen observers noticed something else on which they found something to say.
It is a hairpin that is seen jutting out from Michela’s hair at 1 minute 40 seconds into the video, a split second image that is making the round on Facebook.
How could it be missed, people are asking. Shouldn’t a different shot have been used instead? Will this impinge on Malta’s possibilities?
Others are all out in defence, saying that people are always ready to pick on mistakes when they should see the video in its entirety.
Whatever the argument, it is clear that once again the Eurovision Song Contest is set to create a huge interest. This time, there’s also a misplaced hairpin in the debate.
