Three men were taken to Mater Dei Hospital at 2:30pm on Wednesday after crashing into each other in Siggiewi.

The accident took place in Triq Monsinjur Mikiel Azzopardi, and the District Police on the scene deduced that an Opel Corsa, driven by one of the men who is from Siggiewi, crashed into a Mitsubishi Fuso driven by another man from Attard.

The men were 52 and 62 years old respectively, and a 19-year-old was also present in the Mitsubishi.

Members of the Civil Protection Department and an ambulance were called onto the scene, after which the 52-year-old was certified as having grievous injuries, while the condition of the other two victims remains unknown.

A Police investigation is under way, and Magistrate Dr. A.M Grima is also on the case.
