On 20 February, a number of employees from Mapfre Group volunteered to take several clients from Dar il-Kaptan for a fun-filled bowling activity during the afternoon. Mapfre Group sponsored this activity so that the residents may take the opportunity to enjoy themselves outside of their daily routines.

Dar il-Kaptan is an NGO which offers services to any person with a disability, irrespective of the impairment or condition, especially since the home is fully accessible and the staff is highly trained. The Foundation is committed to ensure that no family, regardless of their financial situation, is denied access to any of its services, which may consist of either Residential Respite Service or a Day Service. Individual assessments are carried out regularly by the social worker to ensure that all the family's concerns are addressed.

The philosophy of this Foundation is built on the individual's right to dignity, respect and privacy. By adhering to these fundamental principles, Dar il-Kaptan provides a service that helps to enhance the individual's potential as well as enriching his/her quality of life. Notwithstanding this, the NGO has made it its mission to commit themselves to "providing a professional respite service to persons with disability and their families".

Mapfre Group strives to fulfil its obligations to NGOs such as Dar il-Kaptan and make a difference to our local community. Mapfre Group will continue to sponsor such activities throughout the upcoming year.
