Vigil for New Zealand terror attack victims held by Maltese Muslim community

A vigil to commemorate the 50 victims of a terrorist attack in New Zealand last week was organised by the Maltese Muslim community on Wednesday evening.

Imam Elsadi said the vigil showed solidarity with the victims, their families, the Muslim community and the people of New Zealand.

Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne and PN deputy leader Robert Arrigo attended the event and were joined by representatives from the Democratic Party and Alternattiva Demokratika.

Present was also former Foreign Minister George Vella, who will be appointed President of the Republic next week.
