Futsal: Valletta are the first Knock Out finalists

In the first Knock Out semifinal, Valletta ticketed the first place in the final after beating 5-3 Birkirkara. After 10 minutes play, Valletta had a double advantage through Rafael Medeiros Rodrigues and Shawn Vella. Birkirkara's Faisal Alnakuoo scored and reduced the gap just 13 seconds from the end of the first half.

In the third minute of the second half, Valletta added another one thanks to Dylan Musu. Birkirkara didn't give up and levelled the matters with goals scored by Alan Galea and Gary Inguanez. In the final minutes Valletta took again control of the match and scored another two goals from Camilo Andres Vanegas Gomez and Melvin Borg.

Early this week Valletta consolidated their joint leadership with Luxol after winning 3-1 against Swieqi United. Valletta's Mohamed Lamari managed to score twice together with Camilo Andres Vanegas Gomes' goal. On the other hand Shaun Deguara scored the sole goal for Swieqi United.

Joint leaders Luxol vamped up against Tarxien Rainbows who were leading 1-0 in the first half. After the first quarter Jose Maria Aguilera scored for the Rainbows. Luxol scored their six winning goals with Maicon Silva Gaiewski's hat-trick, Zvezdan Vukovic's brace and Leanderson Coriolando Sant'Anna's goal.

The University of Malta Students had to break their positive series after losing 7-3 against Birkirkara. Birkirkirkara had braces by Everton Da Silva Santos, Faisal Alnakuoo and Victor Castro Pedrosa together with Rennie Tanti's goal. Aidan Caruana, Ivan Jovanović and Lee Grech found the net for the Universitarians.

In the First Division Swieqi United U21 had their best as they won 8-4 against Pietá Hotspurs.
