Falken Tyres, Official Global Tyre Partners of 21 leading football clubs across eight European countries, including Liverpool FC (England), Atletico Madrid (Spain), FC Schalke (Germany), Lazio (Italy) and other teams in France, Holland, Poland and Sweden, are the new Title Sponsors of the "Sette Giugno" Pozzallo Cruise for 2019.
The 50 nautical miles "Sette Giugno" Pozzallo Cruise, now in its 7th edition, is organised by the Malta Cruising Club with the collaboration of the Pozzallo section of the Lega Navale Italiana and held under the Patronage of the Comune of Pozzallo. This year the popular event is being held between Thursday 6th and Sunday 9th June.
The sponsorship was finalised during a visit to Malta last week by Fabrizio Manfredi, Sales Support Manager for Italy and Malta, of Falken Tyre Europe. Also present at the sponsorship agreement meeting was Johann J. Cuschieri, Director of Standard Limited, Malta agents for Falken Tyres.
Falken Tyres are continuing their brand strategy of widening their engagement in sports sponsorship and creating great opportunity to raise brand awareness.
Falken also sponsor Yoshihide Muroya, a top participant in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship who scooped the title of 2017 Red Bull Air Race World Champion - the first Asian pilot to succeed in this exceptional achievement.
This year the tyre brand celebrates its 20th anniversary engagement at 24h race at Nürburgring where Falken Tyre steadily expanded its involvement both on and next to the racetrack. 2019 is also the third year in succession where Falken will line up on the grid with two iconic racing cars from premium German manufacturers: Falken Porsche 911 GT3 (Type 991) and Falken BMW M6 GT3.
Furthermore, as part of their strategy of growing involvement in team sports, Falken Tyre Europe were also among the official event sponsors of the 2019 IHF Men's Handball World Championship, besides being the main sponsors of the German Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) team, EWE Baskets Oldenburg.
