Stephen Azzopardi Sunday, 24 March 2019, 10:00 Last update: about 5 months ago

Luxol joined Valletta as Knock Out finalists as they easily passed over Pietà Hotspurs with the end result of 9-0. In the 4th minute George Frendo was fouled in the penalty area and the same Frendo opened the score from the penalty shot. Six minutes later Frendo had his second personal goal from a fierce shot near the touch line. Luxol added more goals through Zvezdan Vukovic, Chris Cardona, Aidan Micallef, Maicon Silva Gaiewski's brace and two own goals by Christian Wismayer and Paul Scerri.

In this same week, all eyes were on the clash of the titans between Valletta and Luxol, before they start confronting each other in both the Elite Play Offs and the Knock Out Final.

Luxol ended the Elite round as sole leaders after winning 7-2 against rivals Valletta. Luxol had Maicon Silva Gaiewski's hat-trick, Zvezdan Vukovic's brace and a goal apiece for Andy Mangion and Emil Andrei Raducu.
