A high-speed train smashed head-on into an ambulance that was trapped between barriers on rail tracks in Poland.
A doctor and a paramedic were killed while the driver was rushed to hospital after the shocking incident in Puszczykowo in Poznań County, Poland.
CCTV footage shows the ambulance becoming trapped while crossing the tracks as the barriers begin to lower.
The driver attempts to manoeuvre the vehicle to sit parallel to the tracks to avoid being struck.
But the front of the ambulance is left jutting over the tracks and the driver is unable to move in time.
