A biker was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Paola just before noon today, the police said.

The accident took place in Antoine de Paul Square at 11.50am.

It involved a Peugeot 307 driven by a 52-year-old resident of Xghajra and a bike driven by a 45-year-old man from Mosta.

The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
