Former porn star Ilona Staller, more commonly known as Cicciolina, has said she has been forced to auction her most intimate belongings to be able to survive after her parliamentary annuity was drastically reduced.

In an exclusive report on Canale 5, Staller was seen auctioning underwear, sex toys, dolls and the dress she wore the first time she entered the Italian Parliament after her monthly allowance was cut from €2,000 to €800 a month.

She has set the starting price for the dress she wore in 1987 when she had then controversially been elected to Italy’s Parliament at €1 million, but other items she has put up for sale are far cheaper.

Budapest-born Cicciolina, now 67 years old, had risen to fame in the 1970s after participating in explicit porn films. She was elected to Parliament in 1987, serving one term.

Italian media are also reporting that she has put up her house in Rome for sale.
