Partit Demokratiku MPs say they have been the victims of vandalism in the past few days, a “pattern” which leader Godfrey Farrugia said will not stop the party’s determination.
On Saturday morning, when Farrugia went to his medical clinic in Zebbug, he said he found that someone had blocked the sink of a bathroom on the top floor, leaving the water running.
Speaking to The Malta Independent, Farrugia said that the water overflowed from the sink and seeped down from the third floor to the storeys below.
He said there is no sign of a break-in, making him believe that the vandal attack came from someone who did the act a few minutes before he closed the clinic on Friday evening.
Farrugia said that apart from the inconvenience and the huge volume of water that was some, some damage was also caused to the clinic.
Farrugia added that a few days ago someone had also reported the Facebook page belonging to his partner and PD colleague Marlene Farrugia, which has since been blocked.
He told The Malta Independent that a few days ago Marlene Farrugia's clinic had also been a target for vandals. Somebody threw two rolls of toilet paper in the toilet and flushed, with the result that the rolls blocked the toilet.
