The body of a 67-year-old fisherman has been found in the sea near Comino, the police said.

The body was first spotted at around 10.50am on Saturday, with the Armed Forces of Malta launching a search in the area using a patrol boat and a helicopter.

The body was found at around 10am on Sunday.

Magistrate Paul Coppini is leading an inquiry. The police are also investigating the case.
