The Institute for Engineering and Transport at MCAST was inaugurated today following a €6 million investment.

Speaking at the press conference in Paola, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat noted how there is now a dedicated building with the specialist equipment and facilities available for prospective engineers to further their studies.

Muscat continued by maintaining that the labour market is increasingly asking for skilled workers, including engineers, adding that the issues raised regarding the warrants granted from MCAST were resolved.

The Prime Minister and Minister for Education Evarist Bartolo also made renewed calls for inclusivity and unity following the recent arrest of two suspects in the Ħal Far murder case.

The project, partly funded by the European Union, is expected to be completed sometime in September.
