With Europe in mind, this concert will feature a String Quartet from The RE: Orchestra, formerly known as the Rotterdam Ensemble, under the direction of Maestro Roberto Beltran Zavala and featuring Nicolai Bernstein - violin 1, Reggie Clews - violin II, Hara van Amersfoort - viola, Wijnand Hulst - cello, with guest artists Jessica Ellul - clarinet and Jenny Melville - oboe and a special participation by Gillian Zammit - soprano and Claire Ghigo - mezzo-soprano.

Music is by Beethoven, Mozart, Fauré, Puccini, Mahler, Rossini, Strauss, Bellini, Offenbach and Viardot. The European anthem, Ode to Joy, has been translated into Maltese by Dr John Vassallo and will bring the concert to a grand finale. Generously sponsored by Dr John Vassallo and Dr Marianne Schaefer Noll, the event is also being held in collaboration with the Gudja Local Council. Din l-Art Helwa will be joining the European movement to support the fund-raising efforts for the restoration of the Notre Dame cathedral.
