The construction industry continues to generate complaints, this time from Marsascala.

Clouds of dust have hit parts of this seaside town from the site where a cinema once stood, and which is now being demolished to make way for a new block of apartments.

The construction industry has been in the public eye for the wrong seasons in the past months. We’ve had buildings which collapsed, luckily injuring no-one so far; we’ve had a long list of workers who suffered serious injuries after falls on construction sites, with some also losing their life.

And then there are these everyday occurrences, with residents unable to open windows as dust generated by demolition works envelops whole areas, not to mention the volume of noise such works bring with them.
