Watch: PN ‘alive and kicking’, Arrigo says, with video of people playing tombola

Thursday, 13 June 2019, 14:29 Last update: about 6 years ago

The Nationalist Party is "not dead" and is “alive and kicking”, deputy leader Robert Arrigo says on Facebook.

But there is no political speech, no Fosos filled to the brim as used to happen in the glory days or even a few flags of the “maduma” flag.

The video that accompanies his post on Facebook shows a hall full of women playing tombola, as numbers are heard being drawn and “eyes are down” for the next number.

The Nationalist MP got a few "prosits" for his work, but does a tombola coffee morning mean the party is alive and kicking?

Over the past days, since the PN suffered two heavy electoral defeats, there have been calls for the leadership to take responsibility, culminating in an eight-hour parliamentary group meeting that started Tuesday and ended Wednesday.
