Two men were injured after they were involved in a four-car crash in Santa Venera, the police said.

The accident took place in Old Railway Road just before 1pm.

The cars involved were a Toyota Yaris driven by a 19-year-old man of Birkirkara, a Peugeot 106 driven by a 61-year-old man of Birkirkara and a BMW driven by a 21 year-old woman of Birkirkara. With the impact, a fourth car, a Mercedes which was parked, was also damaged.

The two men were taken to hospital, with the 61-year-old suffering serious injuries while the teenager suffered slight injuries.
