As spring gives way to summer on Friday, the hottest season will not leave its lovers disappointed as temperatures are expected to soar in the first weekend.

Thursday’s high of 33 degrees – feels likes 36 Celsius – will be repeated on Friday, according to the Met Office, but it will go up by one degree on Saturday (34, feels like 37) and then by another two degrees on Sunday (36, feels like 39).

It will go down slightly to 35 degrees on Monday (still feels like 39), with some more respite on Tuesday as 32 degrees are then forecast.

The sea temperature, for those who will take a dip, will be 23 degrees.

People should avoid, as much as possible, staying in the sun during the hotter hours. One should also drink lots of water and wear light clothing.
