On Thursday at around 11pm, the police were informed about an accident on Triq id-Dahla ta' San Tumas, Marsascala.
A 20-year-old man from Siggiewi lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a lamp post. A 20-year-old woman from Ghaxaq was his passenger. 
The two people were taken to Mater Dei Hospital and suffered grievous injuries.
Investigations are ongoing.
