Woman, girl aged 3 suffer serious injuries in Zejtun traffic accident

A woman and a three-year-old girl suffered injuries in a crash involving two cars in Zejtun on Monday evening, the police said.

The accident happened in Anton Buttigieg Road at 8pm.

A Toyota Hilux driven by a 22-year-old man of Marsascala was involved in a collision with a Toyota Aygo driven by a 36-year-old man from Poland. The Polish driver had a 37-year-old woman and two young girls, aged 10 and three.

The woman and the three-year-old girl were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Magistrate R Montebello is leading an inquiry.
