A biker was seriously injured after he crashed into a wall in Siggiewi on Monday morning, the police said.

The accident took place in Mqabba Road at 9.30am.

The biker, a 59-year-old Italian man from Marsascala, lost control of the Piaggio Vespa he was riding and crashed into a wall.

He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment.
