A Gozitan woman was seriously injured this morning when she was hit by a car in Marsalforn.

The accident took place in the area known il-Qbajjar at 10.45am.

The 68-year-old resident on Zebbug, Gozo, was hit by a Mitsubishi L200 driven by a 46-year-old man of Kercem.

She was taken to Gozo General Hospital with serious injuries.
