‘I Choose’ – Education Ministry holds event to help students choose career

The Ministry for Education and Employment will open its doors for the 'I Choose - Nagħżel il-Karriera Tiegħi’ event being held for the fifth consecutive year at the Grand Hotel Excelsior, Floriana to assist students to make informed choices for their future. 

The ‘I Choose’ event will host all post-secondary educational institutions and entities as well as career providers from various sectors under one roof. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain knowledge about different courses that they can follow after obligatory education. The event is perfectly timed, coinciding with the issuing of SEC results, and will assist Form 5 / Year 11 students in evaluating their options, seeking advice and making the right choices.

The event is also open to Form 4 / Year 10 students who wish to start exploring options and possible career paths. In addition, anyone wishing to obtain information about different types of education leading to a broad career are also welcome. It is possible for both students and parents to attend different presentations that will be delivered by professionals in various fields.

Individual attention is vital and career guidance practitioners will be available for one-to-one sessions. A number of interesting discussions about different kinds of careers will be led by professionals from both the private and public sectors.

This educational fair will be extended over two days starting today, Friday 19 July, from 4pm to 8pm, until Saturday 20 July from 9am until 2pm. More information on ‘I Choose - Nagħżel il-Karriera Tiegħi’ is available at www.edu.gov.mt/ichoose.
