Updated: All fuel prices go up by between 3c and 5c per litre

Enemed has announced price hikes for all its fuel prices, effective as from Thursday.

The price of unleaded petrol has gone up from €1.36 a litre to €1.41.

Diesel has risen from €1.23 to €1.28 per litre. 

Petrol Super has gone up from €1.51 to €1.56 and the price of diesel super has risen from €1.33 to €1.38 a litre.

 

In a statement, the government said that, despite today’s increase, fuel prices in Malta remain lower than the EU average.

It said that the international price of oil rose from €47 a barrel to €57 a barrel over the past seven months – an increase of 21%. While fuel prices increased several times in the EU, in Malta they had remained stable.

The revised price of petrol is 3 cents cheaper than the EU average, while the prices of diesel is five cents cheaper.
