Maltese athlete policeman Andrew Grech was welcomed by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat at Castille last Friday.

Grech won the silver medal in the Police Olympics which were organized by the Chinese government in Chengdu, capital of Schicuan.

He came second in the half marathon race  in which  2200 runners from 70 different countries took part.

The Prime Minister congtatualted Mr. Grech and told him that  winning the silver medal was a remarkable achievement and a great honour for Malta.

Mr Grech was accompanied by his lovely wife Dianne and former Minister, Reno Calleja, and the current president of the Malta-China friendship society, who was instrumental in arranging Malta's participation in these Olympics.
