102 students celebrate graduation from Middlesex University Malta

102 students from nine different countries graduated from Middlesex University Malta.  The graduation ceremony which was held on Friday 6th, celebrated the hard work of the students, who were conferred their degrees in their respective areas of study, as they joined the university's alumni network, a family of over 150,000 graduates spread across the globe.

Throwing their caps into the air on Friday, were students from Nigeria, Pakistan, Algeria, India, Nepal Serbia, Qatar, Mauritius and Malta amongst others who graduated from the Faculty of Science and Technology, as well as the Faculty of Professional and Social Sciences.

Addressing the students, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean Professor Sean Wellington, augured the new graduands to go out into the world and instigate positive change.  "You have all earned your degrees through hard work and commitment and I would like to congratulate you all on achieving your goal. We are very proud of you all. At Middlesex we believe passionately in transforming potential into success - please go forward with confidence, never stop learning and help others along the way" he said.

Taking the lectern, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Learning and Innovation Professor Andrea Dlaska said that the ceremony marked what the graduands had achieved in their studies, and the beginning of new opportunities that many of them had embarked on. "I want you to keep going, to stay curious, to keep learning, to stay ambitious" she said.  "We're an ambitious University. We want you, our graduates, to go out and make the world a better place because you care about the world and because you've got the skills and knowledge to make a difference" she concluded.

The ceremony was also addressed by the Minister for Education the Hon Evarist Bartolo who wished the very best to the students.
