Tuesday, 17 September 2019, 13:06 Last update: about 6 years ago

Following the refurbishment of last year which was completed at the end of February and saw the upgrading of the lobby, lobby bar and the reception area, the Paradise Bay Resort has recently concluded another major renovation project. With an investment worth €3.4 million, the renovation program included the total refurbishment of all amenities and facilities at ground floor level.

The onsite shop has been fully revamped has been moved closer to the reception area making it more accessible to guests and visitors alike. It is massive, modern and offers all the necessities one may need to purchase during his stay such as toiletries, snacks and nibbles as well as a variety of souvenirs and gifts.

Another area which has been completely renovated is the kids' rooms which now has an adjacent outdoor play area featuring a Buccaneers ship. Designed specifically with the little ones in mind, it is modern and is fitted with rubber flooring to ensure the safety of those using it. The games room next door has been also transformed as now it is much larger and offers a wide range of new arcade games, several billiard tables and air hockey.

The cafeteria (previously known as Island Edge) has been converted into five highly finished meeting rooms which can be used individually or collectively offering the flexibility which is very much required by the Meeting and Events sector. All meeting rooms have been equipped with the latest audiovisual technology which surely will guarantee an enhanced experience. All rooms have natural lighting whereby one can also have a complete black out facility. In addition, they all have their outdoor terraces for any coffee breaks or light lunches, or simply to enjoy the panoramic views of our sister island Gozo.

Right across the street, the resort has inaugurated a brand-new a' la carte restaurant (Porto Lounge - beach, bar and restaurant) which is a fusion of French, Asian as well as Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant will operate both in the shoulder and peak months of the year. The adjacent platform which is used as an events venue particularly weddings, has also been upgraded and is now tiered and tiled. The beach also features a diving centre as well as water sports facilities. At the upper level a brand-new cafeteria is also available whereby one can enjoy a drink or a snack in a more relaxed atmosphere whilst taking in the amazing views offered.
