Government pitched the economy against the environment - Delia

Thursday, 19 September 2019, 14:10 Last update: about 6 years ago

Opposition Leader Adrian Delia has said that the government has pitched the economy against the environment, and created alarming congestion and pollution.

He was attending an activity organized by the PN where 55 trees were planted on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of Malta's independence.

Delia said that the PN put forward their political agenda aimed at improving the quality of life for Maltese people. He said that the government is creating development without a plan, causing the removal of thousands of trees, and more congestion.

He said that the PN is not against development, but wants a long-term plan, one that will create a more beautiful country, a cleaner country, one more attractive for tourists and one that leaves the Maltese people healthier.
