Construction waste that was dumped illegally in Mgarr is being removed, Environment Minister Jose Herrera said today.

Writing on Facebook, the minister said that the operation is being carried out in cooperation with WasteServ and the Malta Developers Association.

It is not acceptable that valleys and open spaces become the target for illegal waste dumping, he said.

The Environment Resources Authority is investigating the case.
