Chairperson of the Marigold Foundation Mrs Michelle Muscat and Minister for Justice, Culture and Local Government Owen Bonnici have announced the MCO Pink October Concert, which will be held on the 11th of October at 20:00 at Pjazza Teatru Rjal.

Mrs Michelle Muscat thanked the organisers for such an initiative. Living a healthy lifestyle and confronting health issues as soon as they appear is a must if we want to live a longer life to the full. Mrs Muscat emphasized the importance of this educational campaign focused on raising awareness on breast cancer but also on male cancers that are very common but also on male cancers that are very common that can be cured if one is diagnosed at an early stage. Bridging culture and health is a remarkable way of living life with a positive attitude enabling people to motivate themselves to always live up to their potential. 

Along with the Malta Concert Orchestra under the direction of Mro Joe Brown, the concert will also feature Ozzy Lino, Ritienne, Neville Refalo, Laura Bruno and Jasmine Abela.

Minister Owen Bonnici stated that "our intention is to raise awareness and support such initiatives through arts and culture. Whereas during previous years the Ministry together with Arts Council Malta used to organise events focusing on its employees, this year we felt it was opportune to broaden this initiative, increase our reach and organise a concert for the public." Minister Bonnici concluded by thanking the Marigold Foundation for all their work, and by saying that he'd like to see more events of this nature, which bring together culture and our society for a just cause.

Tickets of €10 and €5 (concessions) for the concert can be purchased on www.kultura.mt . All proceeds of the concert will go to the Marigold Foundation, as part of the Pink October Campaign.

This concert is being organised by Arts Council Malta, in collaboration with Pjazza Teatru Rjal and the Malta Concert Orchestra, which fall under the Ministry for Justice, Culture and Local Government.
