Zejtun and Pebroke earned a point each after sharing four goals in an exciting game that could have gone either way. However Zejtun were slightly the better team but in the end had to settle for a point.

Zejtun were fresh from their first victory of the season in the last outing whilst Pembroke were coming from a defeat. It took Zejtun only 40 seconds to open the score when Ogunuppe darted forward to beat Shranz with a fierce drive.

Their joy was short-lived as three minutes later veteran Jean Pieere Mifsud Triganza levelled matters from close range. On 18 minutes Zejtun had a golden opportunity to regain the lead but Jurgen Suda missed a penalty which was blocked by Schranz.

In the second half Zejtun had more of the ball and took a deserved lead on 77 minutes when Adrian Carabott beat Schranz with a low drive. However with sixty seconds to go Pembroke snatched a point when substitute Mattia Zarb fired home from an acute angle.

Pieta H-Vittoriosa S                  3-0

Pieta cruised home to an easy victory, their second consecutive, beating a sorry Vittoriosa side by three clear goals. The game was fairly balanced in the opening thirty minutes until Pieta broke the deadlock.

Pieta then doubled the score early in the second half and took full command of the proceedings with Vittoriosa in apparent difficulty.

Pieta took the lead on 39 minutes when Lucas Caetano headed home a Bartolo cross from the right. Six minutes into the second half Caetano passed towards Clyde Bouvet who managed to squeeze the ball home past Valletta.

Vittoriosa made a timid reaction and held the ball for long stretches but the Pieta defence was never in real danger. In stoppage time Pieta sealed the issue with a third goal, again through Clyde Bouvet who fired home from close range.

Brian Said's St Andrews obtained it's third victory of the season by beating an industrious Zebbug Rangers team, who could have taken more out of this match looking at the chances they created.

A Randall Vella header from close range after a Dion fava corner on 12 minutes just missed target. Six minutes later St Andrews took the lead thanks to a brilliant free-kick from just outside the box of captain Joe Farrugia. Two minutes later, Luke-Anthony Borg could have doubled the score as he was left unmarked in the box but Zebbug goalkeeper Matthew Grech turned his effort into a corner. On 38 minutes, Saturday Nanapere was close to the equaliser when the ball suddenly ended up in front of his feet after a goalmouth melee but St Andrews custodian Nicholas Grima blocked his attempt.

Zebbug continued pressing in the second half and it was Wayne Borg who's shot was blocked by Grima with difficulty in the 47th minute. Two minutes later, a Zebbug clearance by Vella ended up against the post after a quick St Andrews counter-attack, with Degran Jackson kicking his rebound attempt into the side-net. It was Zebbug who did all the running with chances for Nanapere and Muda Fagbeja, but Grima was in great shape to block these attempts.

On 77 minutes, veteran defender Ian Azzopardi received a straight red card for a reckless tackle in midfield. He was quickly followed to the dressing rooms three minute later when Zebbug defender Gaetano Gesualdi received his second yellow card, also for a reckless tackle. In the 83rd minute, St Andrews added the second goal after being sent through, beating the on storming Grech with a wonderful 25-meters distance lob, sealing the outcome of the match.
