Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club will be hosting the annual Eurosport BSJ Fleur-de-Lys Road 5k and 10k Running Races on Friday 13th December and a record number of participants are expected to take part.

The Race, which will start at 7:30am,  consists of a 5km loop which will be undertaken twice in the case of athletes taking part in the 10k Run.  The Race will start in front of the Government school in Psaila Street and will finish further down the same road in front of the Eurosport Malta outlet.  

A short Prize Giving ceremony will take place immediately at the end of race at the Race venue.

Athletes who have submitted their race registration but have yet to collect their race bib  are to do so up to one hour before the start of the race on race day.  Late applications will be accepted by the Club at an extra fee of €5.00 up to one hour before the start of the race.

Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club will also be presenting a donation to its chosen charity which this year is GBI We Cycle For Charity which forms part of the Global Biking Initiative (GBI),  a fast-growing, worldwide cycling community with the mission to raise funds for charities in more than thirty countries.  GBI Malta joined a GBI Europe cycling event earlier on in the year and raised funds for Caritas Malta to support projects at San Blas Therapeutic Centre.

Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club is organising this event in collaboration with the Local Councils Central Region and Eurosport.
