MFA Communications Office Saturday, 14 December 2019, 13:40 Last update: about 5 years ago

The two BOV Premier League matches scheduled to take place today at the Centenary Stadium were postponed after damage was caused to the stadium canopy, rendering the venue unsafe for spectators and teams.

The Malta Football Association said it took this decision to ensure the safety of the general public, which is of paramount importance.

The situation will be monitored accordingly in view of Sunday's matches scheduled at the same venue and further updates will be issued.

New dates for the two BOV Premier League matches due to have been played this afternoon - Mosta vs Gudja United and Senglea Athletic vs Tarxien Rainbows - will be announced in due course.
