PN Leader Adrian Delia has accused the Attorney General of breaching the constitution when his work is to defend it, and has called for his resignation.
"We just came out of the Court of Constitutional Appeal, where the highest court approved our request for the Egrant report, and found that the Attorney General broke the fundamental rights of the Opposition Leader in what are freedom of expression and created a political imbalance. The Court ordered the AG to pass on a full copy of the Egrant report to me as Opposition Leader."
"We have a situation where the Attorney General broke the Constitution. The Attorney General has to resign immediately. "
Delia said that the Attorney General was found, by the highest court in the country, to have breached the Constitution when his job is to defend the Constitution.
Delia said that he was going straight to the AG's office to be given a copy of the report immediately.
In a tweet soon afterwards, Delia said that the Attorney General will be keeping the Egrant report away from the Opposition for another two days, and will as such continue to breach the Constitution.
